18/22 Gauge SOOW Portable and Power Cable

18/22 SOOW Portable Power Cable is part of our Power Cables & Portable Cord line of Wire & Cable. 18/22 SOOW Portable Cable is composed of 22 bare copper conductors with a 16/30 stranding, an ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM) insulation, and a chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) jacket. These cables are rated for a voltage of 600 volts, an amperage of 3.1 amps, have a temperature range of -40°C to 90°C, and weighs approximately 400 lbs/MFT. 

Inside 18/22 SOOW Portable Cable is normally another type of insulating material. It's EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) or EP (ethylene propylene) rubber. These types of materials are part of the thermoset group of insulations. Through the thermoset process, the materials are literally squeezed onto the wires and then with heat and pressure become one with them. That means the insulation will never fade even if it's placed under extreme heat or other situations.
