Type SHD-GC Cable

Type SHD-GC Cables are heavy-duty, portable power cables constructed for use in circuits not exceeding the rated voltage. Ideal for mining applications, our customers use our mining cable in their shuttle cars, longwall miners, horizontal and vertical power feeds, continuous miners, and mining pumps. Type SHD-GC cables are medium voltage cables rated for conductor temperatures up to 90°C.

Type SHD-GC mining cables are applicable in loaders, drills, conveyors, pumps, power supplies, and other mobile or stationary equipment requiring grounding conductors and a ground check conductor.

 

GROUND CHECK CONDUCTOR — Flexible tinned copper with polypropylene insulation.

INSULATION  — 90°C Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) for superior resistance to impact and abrasion.

INSULATION SHIELDING — Tinned copper and color coded braided for extra resistance and flex life.

GROUND WIRES — Flexible tinned copper construction for extra flex life.

GROUND CHECK CONDUCTOR  — Heavy-duty construction made of flexible tinned copper with polypropylene insulation. 

 

 

Conductors: Stranded annealed tinned copper conductor.

Conductor Shield:Semi-conducting layer.

Insulation:EPR.

Insulation Shield:Non-conducting tape + Tinned copper/textile braid.

Ground Check Conductor:Tinned copper with a yellow polypropylene insulation.

Grounding Conductor:Tinned copper conductor.

Sheath: Reinforced extra-heavy-duty Chlorinated Polyethylene(CPE), black. Other sheath materials can be offered upon request.
