What is VFD Cable?
VFD is short for variable frequency drive. Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Cables are commonly used to power AC motors in various industrial motion control, commercial flow/pumping, and extrusion applications. VFD Cables are typically used where standard cables cannot withstand the harsh electrical environment. These cables have variable and/or adjustable speed drives and are made of thermoset insulation with an oil and sun resistant PVD jacket.

Three Conductor 2kV VFD Cable Specification
Variable frequency drive cables are often referred to as variable-speed drives or adjustable-speed drive cables. These shielded vfd cables are used to power 3-phase AC electric engines in applications requiring greater control and power efficiency. Our VFD cables are generally available in 3+3 cores (3 cores plus 3 reduced sized earth conductors) or 4 cores.

2. Insulation: Halogen Free Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR)

4. Inner Covering/Bedding: Flame Retardant Halogen Free Compound
5. Armor: Cu/Ps Tape (100% Coverage), Tinned Annealed Copper Wire Braid, Bronze Wire Braid Options Available
6. Sheath: SHF2, Black Color, SHF Mud Options Available
