What is Armoured cable
Armoured cable means armoured power cable. The main using of armored core cable is to transform or distribute the power. We often use it in underground power grids in urban areas, the outgoing lines of power stations, internal power supplier for industrial and mining enterprises or whole building.
Armoured Cable Construction
Conductor: consists of plain stranded copper
Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) is used in a number of power cables because it has good water resistance and excellent electrical properties.
Bedding: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) bedding is used to provide a protective boundary between inner and outer layers of the cable.
Armour: Steel wire armour provides mechanical protection, which means the cable can withstand higher stresses, be buried directly and used in external or underground projects
Sheath: a black PVC sheath holds all components of the cable together and provides additional protection from external stresses.

Cross-linked polyethylene insulated armoured power cable not only has excellent electric, mechanical properties. But also has powerful resistance against chemical corrosion, heat aging and environmental stress. Armoured cable structure is simple. The long term operating temperature is 90℃. Armoured power cable is convenient to use and can be laid with no restriction of different level.
