What is 500mm Single Core AWA Armoured Cable ?
500mm Single Core AWA Armoured Cable is used in single core cables. When the electric current flows through the cable, a magnetic field is generated in the steel armouring. This can potentially cause overheating in the AC system, leading to disaster in the worst case scenario. Since aluminium is non-magnetic, the non-magnetic aluminium armour of the 500 sq mm awa cable can prevent this type of electrical failure.
At the same time, the armour provides additional protection for the awa cable, allowing the AWA cable to withstand higher tensile loads.
AWA cables cover the voltage of 1.1KV XLPE cable, 11kV XLPE cable and 33kv XLPE cable. Normally AWA cable is found in underground systems and scaffolding, power grids and cable ducts, outdoor and indoor installations, power control systems.
