What is FG17 Cable?

FG17 Cable is single core flexible power cable with G17 rubber insulation, resistant to fire propagation, having low emission of smoke and toxic and corrosive gases when exposed to fire. FG17 450/750V cables are suitable for general applications in construction work subject to fire reaction requirements; for bundle installations with high fire risks, having fire reaction class Cca-s1b,d1,a1. Further instructions and guidance for use are given in the EN 50565 and CEI 20-40 standards.

What is the application of FG17 Cable?

FG17 Cable For installation where a high risk of fire and a high presence of people is foreseen. Installed in pipes or embedded conduits, or similar closed systems; suitable for fixed protected installation in, or on, lighting or control gear for voltages up to 1000 V a.c. Or, up to 750 V d.c. To earth.
FG17 Cables not suitable for direct or not direct underground laying, for outside use or in wet environment, unprotected laying and under plaster.
FG17 Cables suitable for general application in construction plants subject to requirements in matter of fire reaction; for bundle installations with high fire risks according to the standard CEI 64-8/7 having fire reaction class Cca-s1b,d1,a1.
For electrical power system in constructions alnd other civil engineering bulginngs,in order to limit fire and smoke production and spread,in accordance with the CPR. FG17 Cable is particulary suited in high fire risk places containing a great number of people (like offices, data processing centres, schools, hotels, supermarket, undergrounds, hospitals, cinemas, theaters, discos). FG17 Cables suitable for fixed lay, in pipe, cable-carrier channels, inner wiring of electric switchboards, inside interruption and control equipments for voltage until 1000V in c.a. and 750V d.c. to the ground
